Rachel Johnson is a dancer, choreographer and instructor who began dancing competitively both regionally and nationally from ages 6 to 18 for The Dance Connection of Morris County, New Jersey. Rachel is a Manhattanville College ‘16 Cum Laude graduate with a BA in Dance and Theatre, Minor in Psychology, and concentration in Dance Therapy. She is a company dancer for At The Brink Dance Projects, and JKing Dance Company- performances including Dumbo Dance Festival, Making Moves Dance Festival 2018, and APAP 2019 and 2020. Manhattanville College credits include: Greasepaint (The Kid, Dance Captain) and Working (The Waitress, Dance Captain), The Boyfriend (Maisie). Manhattanville Choreography: One Within Many, PATH, and SYNC, receiving the Outstanding Academic and Artistic Excellence Award, as well as Distinction for the Choreography and Direction of her Thesis. She has also danced for Endless Voice Productions, Allison Pagano, Keith Saunders, Claire Porter, Early Mosley and Peter Pucci. Off-Broadway Credits: Assistant to the Choreographer Peter Pucci for Manhattan Theatre Club’s INCOGNITO, Signature Theatre’s “Master Harold” and The Boys, and Hartford Stage and McCarter Theatre’s Age of Innocence. Film: Swag N’ Bach dancer, Jacob Burns Film Center. As a teacher she seeks to bring positivity, confidence, skill, and creativity to every student in the hopes that they too will find ways to collaborate in life and in the arts.
